Traveler Wayfinding Information and Planning

Overview

'Traveler Wayfinding Information and Planning' receives formatted wayfinding information and provides wayfinding information and a personalized wayfinding plan to the traveler. It provides wayfinding information on pathways (e.g., sidewalks, bike lanes, moving sidewalks), open areas (e.g., pedestrian plazas, parking lots), indoor facilities, and crosswalks and presents the information to the traveler with a public traveler interface. It also provides a personalized wayfinding plan to the traveler. The wayfinding plan is calculated based on preferences and constraints supplied by the traveler and provided to the traveler for confirmation. Wayfinding information is provided through a public display device such as a large display monitor or kiosk. Wayfinding plans are provided by kiosks and other fixed public interactive displays that may be used by travelers in public areas.
