1.2.9.3: Manage Electric Charging Operations

This process shall manage one or more electric vehicle charging stations used to charge hybrid and all-electric vehicles. This process shall provide information to requesting processes on the status of the station (working, not working, full, available) and information about the charging system (rate of charge available, cost of charge, constraints, hours of operation). The process shall interface with traveler information processes to support payment of charging and to disseminate information about the availability and status of their chargers and to coordinate reservations by drivers for the use of a charger. The process shall also interface with the appropriate electric utility that supplies electricity for its chargers to coordinate demand on the power grid.
